I started at Avalon in 2002. During my time at Avalon, I worked as the office manager for five years and then the student support coordinator for one year after receiving my BA in social work. After leaving Avalon in 2008, I worked in the field of social services as a family advocate for domestic violence victims. During my time in the social services field, I became a licensed social worker. I decided last year that I wanted to return back to Avalon to help with the educational success and support of students. I am currently an Educational Assistant and enjoy the new relationships with students and the responsibility of supporting students in their emotional, social, and academic needs. I enjoy spending time with my family, a new book, and learning new ideas about different ways to educate today’s youth.
